Mommy, it was so hot in there…it was hotter than Africa.
It was so hot that I felt like A SLOTH!
That was Miss H’s commentary after we left the Afrykarium at the Wrocław Zoo.
It was our first stop in Wroclaw (after the swimming pool at the hotel of course!).
The complex is impressive. It is a large aquarium and land exhibit focused on the animals and fish living in Africa. We spent most of our time there since it was a cold winter morning. Miss H is doing a section in preschool about Africa so the timing of our visit was perfect.
We saw rays, sharks, all kinds of fish, hippos, crocodiles, manatees, seals, and Miss H’s favorite: penguins! She recited all the kinds of penguins she was learning about at school.
We walked around the zoo a bit after Afrykarium, but after a total of two hours in the complex the four-year-old in the group was ready for a break back at the hotel. (Actually, she wanted to go swimming again.)
We noticed on the way out that there was a huge line. Good thing we got there early!
Stay tuned for more on our trip to Wrocław…including our gnome scavenger hunt!
Sounds great, what a good tip….will remember for future excursions!!!!
