“Five little pumpkins sitting on a gate…”
We found a real pumpkin patch over the weekend. There was also hay bale maze and a small petting zoo. We all enjoyed the outing in the sunny and warm fall weather.
Miss H loved the walk through the field finding the pumpkins still attached to their vines.
After we visited with the animals (rabbits, pigs, chickens and a sheep with her lamb!), we picked out our very own pumpkin. Next weekend: jack-o-lantern carving. This is something new for Mr. F too. I’m pretty sure he has never carved one.
I am still on the lookout for a replacement for the fabulous Drumlin farm outside of Boston in the U.S. It is a working farm with both farm animals and wild animals native to the area. Perfect for toddler Miss H. And now for these pre-school days, it would have been great for her to see how the crops are grown and even pick some herself.
The good news is that I just saw something interesting about an ostrich farm in the Warsaw area. Will check it out soon and report back!
Her hair is so long! Time passes so fast 🙂
Good luck with the pumpkin carving! Would love to see the results.
I love your adventures! ALWAYS have, you’re an amazing writer!
Thank you Nasrine! So nice to hear from you 🙂 and realize we are in similar positions you and I, after all this time!
